Girard Wealth handles personal information in line with Canadian privacy law: PIPEDA and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act.
What this covers
This page explains how this website handles personal information. Once you become a client, the account and product paperwork you complete with Portfolio Strategies Corporation and PPI is also governed by their own privacy policies.
What we collect
- When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address and the track you choose. This is handled by our email provider, HubSpot.
- When you book or request a call: the name, email and any details you provide so we can schedule and prepare.
- Basic server logs: the site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request data to serve and secure the pages.
- When you allow analytics: if you accept analytics cookies on the banner, Google Analytics, HubSpot and Microsoft Clarity collect usage data (pages viewed, the path you take through the site, approximate location, device and browser type) so we can improve the site. Microsoft Clarity also builds heatmaps and anonymized session replays (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement), with text and form entries masked. Nothing analytics-related is set unless you accept.
This site does not run advertising trackers, and it does not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Why we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for, and nothing else, until you unsubscribe.
- To arrange and prepare for a call you requested.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Who it’s shared with
Only the service providers needed to do the above. Currently that’s HubSpot (email and site-usage analytics), Cloudflare (hosting), Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (site usage, only if you consent), and the scheduling tool used for booking, each acting on our instructions. We don’t share your information for any other purpose without your consent, except where the law requires it.
How we protect it
Information is kept only with reputable providers that maintain their own security safeguards, access is limited to what is needed to do the work above, and connections to this site are encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the amount of information collected here is deliberately small.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to respond and to meet any record-keeping obligations, then deleted.
Cookies
This site keeps its use of cookies to a minimum and runs no advertising trackers. The Cookie Policy explains what is used and how to control it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by getting in touch.
